*Rocky is a character of an old television show and current movie, for those who didn't know.

******UPDATE******

Rocky Has left the building! I sent him out (along with a few sweets) to Jo, who lives in Naples, FLA. She sent me an e-mail as soon as she got him. She left for Altanta, GA today (Oct 22) en route to Honalulu Hawaii. She will get to Hawaii eventually, with some very awaesome stops along the way. Wish her and Rocky luck on their travels!!!!!

About GeoBears:

• Students first find a stuffed animal to send out
• They then find a Travel Companion to take them on a journey away from Delaware, Ohio (where we go to school)
• Travel companions pass along the bear as they travel
• Students track the bear's route and keep all corresponence in a file
• At the end of the school year the bear is asked to be returned home.

GeoBears don't need to be bears at all. Mine, of course, is Rocky the squirrel. Kit has Bullwinkle. Tammy has a monkey.
